A habitat is the environment in which you live in; most animals that live in a habitat have their own niche. A niche is also known as the job or rule an animal has to play in their particular environment. My name is Leah and I'm here to tell you all about my habitat and niche; that includes the people I share my habitat with, what my niche in tails, and the differences between my niche and my family's niches. All people have their own habitat, but most are different than others. Woods surround my habitat, or my house, and there are no other habitats in the surrounding area. In my habitat there are seven rooms, three bathrooms, and a basement, but I spend most of my time in my room or the basement.
Within my habitat I have habitats, for example I have a house but in my house I have my room and the basement, and in these habitats I have responsibilities or niches. Some of my niches include keeping my room clean, taking care of my pets, listing to my parents, studying for school, and practicing for my sports so that I can be the best I can be. Some of my niches exist because of the other people and animals whom I share my habitat with; like taking care of my two dogs, if I didn't share a habitat with my pets then I wouldn't have the niche of taking care of them. I also share my habitat with my mother and father, and two brothers.
With some of my family members I share the same niches, including my mother. My mom and I both are the ones who clean the house and take care of the day-to-day house chores. Another member of my family I share similar niches with is my brother Jake. Jake is 19 and he just started college so we share the same niche of going to school and keeping up with homework. With some of my family members I share similar niches but with other family members I have different niches. My father and I have the most different jobs because he mainly does the outside work and doesn't deal with house chores.
One last thing about my habitat and niche is that it is always changing and it will change in the future. My habitat would change when I go to college and have to live away from my original habitat. My niche will also change when I am 16 and have to get a job, or when I mother decides that I must start shoveling the driveway every week once winter comes. Niches and habitats could change dramatically or even just slightly, but they still change and so will mine. Everyone has different habitats and everyone has different niches within their habitats, and now you know about my habitat and niche.
